Alternatives to Westlaw & Lexis

Introduction
Yes, there are other online legal research sites. As mentioned in the manual, the most promising, findlaw.com was nipped in the bud, being bought by West Publishing and eventually converted into more of a marketing site than legal research.

The sites are not as comprehensive as Westlaw and Lexis, but when combined with solid law library skills, a paralegal, or attorney, can be very well informed as to the law.
